My ‘inspiration’ painting is Frank Stella’s “Conspiracy” Lithograph. The viewer is seeing a series of concentric black squares on a beige background, with small lines of beige in between each square. The background is much more extensive than the squares, which are situated in the bottom left corner, leaving a vast amount of the painting being just pure beige.
